About

Carper Sweet Corn and Produce was started in the late 1980s. The business started with a small plot of sweet corn that was sold to local grocery stores. This continued until the mid 1990s when roadside stands and farmer's markets became the main method of distributing locally grown fresh produce. Every year new vegetables were added to the sales mix.

Today the business has grown to around 40 acres of sweet corn and 20 acres of almost every kind of vegetable that a person can think of. One special aspect about our business is that family members are actively involved from the first seedling to selling the product. When the busy times occur, the extended family helps out immensely.

We strive to bring to our customers the freshest vegetables at the fairest prices. We are always trying new things and learning throughout the years. In 2006, we planted a fruit orchard that includes apples, plums, apricots, and cherries. We continue to add fruit trees each year.

We continue to explore new products and expand our production. We experiment with growing new items and testing the market so our customers can have access to the latest trends, along with the old standbys. The learning never stops.
